The Turing Test
The Turing Test is a concept proposed by computer scientist Alan Turing to determine if a machine can exhibit intelligent behavior equivalent to, or indistinguishable from, that of a human. In this test, a human evaluator interacts with both a machine and a human, typically via text. If the evaluator cannot reliably tell which is which based on their responses, the machine is considered to have passed the test. Essentially, it measures a machine's ability to mimic human-like conversation and reasoning, suggesting a form of artificial intelligence.
