The Theory of Mind
The Theory of Mind is the understanding that others have their own thoughts, beliefs, intentions, and feelings, which may differ from our own. It allows people to interpret and predict the actions of others based on their mental states. This cognitive ability typically develops in children around age 4 or 5, enabling social interactions, empathy, and communication. Essentially, it is our ability to recognize that others are individuals with their own minds, which greatly influences how we relate to and interact with the world around us.
