The schizoid subject

The schizoid subject refers to a person who tends to be emotionally detached and may prefer solitude over social interactions. This term often appears in psychology to describe individuals who may appear indifferent to others, have limited expression of emotions, and show little interest in forming close relationships. While they can function in society, they often feel more comfortable in their own thoughts and fantasies rather than engaging with the outside world. This disposition can sometimes lead to misunderstandings or isolation, as others might perceive them as aloof or cold.
