The Infinite Regress Argument

The Infinite Regress Argument explores the problem of justifying knowledge claims. It suggests that if every belief requires justification by another belief, we could endlessly push the question back, leading to no ultimate foundation for knowledge. For instance, if you justify your belief by another belief, and so on, this creates an infinite chain of justifications. This challenges the idea of knowing anything at all because it seems we can never arrive at a final, unchallenged truth or belief, which can be problematic for our understanding of knowledge itself.
