The Four Desert Series
The Four Desert Series is a challenging ultramarathon competition held in some of the world's harshest deserts: the Atacama (Chile), the Gobi (China), the Sahara (Egypt), and Antarctica. Competitors race approximately 250 kilometers (155 miles) over several days while carrying their supplies, including food and gear, on their backs. Each desert presents unique challenges such as extreme temperatures, rugged terrain, and isolation. Athletes from around the globe participate, testing their physical endurance and mental resilience in these diverse and unforgiving environments. The series promotes adventure racing and showcases human strength in extreme conditions.
