Tamiflu

Tamiflu, or oseltamivir, is an antiviral medication used to treat and prevent influenza, commonly known as the flu. It works by inhibiting the virus's ability to multiply in the body, helping to reduce the severity and duration of symptoms. It's most effective when taken within the first couple of days after flu symptoms appear. While it can help lessen the flu's impact, it is not a substitute for vaccination. Tamiflu is typically prescribed for those at high risk of complications, such as young children, the elderly, and individuals with certain health conditions.
