Star Constellations
Star constellations are groupings of stars that form recognizable patterns in the night sky, often named after mythological figures, animals, or objects. Throughout history, different cultures have identified and mapped these patterns for navigation, storytelling, and to mark seasons. There are 88 officially recognized constellations, according to the International Astronomical Union. While stars within a constellation may appear close together, they can actually be far apart in space. Constellations help us organize the night sky, making it easier to locate specific stars and celestial events.
