
St. Peter of Sebaste
St. Peter of Sebaste, also known as St. Peter the Martyr, was a Christian saint and martyr who lived in the 4th century. He is venerated in both the Eastern and Western Christian traditions. According to tradition, he was a bishop in the region of Sebaste (modern-day Armenia) and was known for his strong faith and commitment to spreading Christianity. He faced persecution for his beliefs and was ultimately martyred for refusing to renounce his faith. His feast day is celebrated on January 10th, and he is often depicted in iconography as a symbol of steadfastness in faith.
