Spinal Cord Neoplasms
Spinal cord neoplasms are abnormal growths or tumors that develop in or around the spinal cord, the main pathway for information between the brain and body. These tumors can be benign (non-cancerous) or malignant (cancerous), and they may originate in the spinal cord itself or spread from other parts of the body. Symptoms can include pain, weakness, numbness, or changes in bladder and bowel control, depending on the tumor's location and size. Diagnosis often involves imaging tests like MRIs or CT scans, and treatment options may include surgery, radiation, or chemotherapy.
