Special Operations Executive
The Special Operations Executive (SOE) was a British secret agency during World War II, established in 1940. Its primary mission was to conduct guerrilla warfare, sabotage, and espionage against Nazi Germany and its occupied territories. The SOE recruited and trained agents, who were then sent into enemy territory to support local resistance movements, disrupt supply lines, and gather intelligence. The organization played a crucial role in undermining enemy operations and fostering cooperation among resistance fighters, ultimately contributing to the Allied victory in Europe. The SOE was disbanded after the war in 1946.
