Spatial dimensions
Spatial dimensions refer to the measurements of space that allow us to describe the position and size of objects. We typically think of three dimensions: length, width, and height, which define a volume. When we discuss higher dimensions, we refer to mathematical concepts that extend beyond our physical experience, such as the fourth dimension often thought of as time or additional dimensions in theories like string theory. These concepts help physicists and mathematicians understand the universe's structure and the relationships between objects and forces within it.
