Spasticity

Spasticity is a condition characterized by tight or stiff muscles that can result from damage to parts of the brain or spinal cord that control movement. This can lead to difficulty with movement, coordination, and posture. People with spasticity may feel muscle spasms or find it hard to relax their muscles, causing discomfort or limitations in daily activities. It often occurs in conditions like cerebral palsy, multiple sclerosis, or stroke. Treatment may include physical therapy, medication, or sometimes surgery to help manage symptoms and improve mobility.
