Spacewalks
Spacewalks, or extravehicular activities (EVAs), are when astronauts leave the confines of their spacecraft to work in space. These activities allow them to perform maintenance, conduct experiments, and upgrade equipment outside the International Space Station or other spacecraft. Astronauts wear specialized suits that protect them from the vacuum of space, extreme temperatures, and radiation. Spacewalks are carefully planned and executed, as they present physical and technical challenges, including limited mobility and the need for constant communication with their team. Each spacewalk can last several hours, during which astronauts may face both exhilarating and demanding conditions.
