Solar Activity

Solar activity refers to various dynamic phenomena on the Sun's surface and atmosphere, such as solar flares, sunspots, and coronal mass ejections. These events are caused by the Sun’s magnetic field complex and changes over time. Solar activity affects space weather, which can influence satellite operations, communication systems, and power grids on Earth. During periods of high activity, increased radiation and energetic particles are released, impacting both space and ground-based technologies. The Sun's activity follows an approximately 11-year cycle, with peak periods called solar maxima, leading to more frequent and intense solar events.
