SLAM Algorithms

SLAM, or Simultaneous Localization and Mapping, is a technology that allows a device, like a robot or a drone, to create a map of an unknown environment while also keeping track of its own location within that space. Essentially, as the device moves around, it uses sensors to gather information about its surroundings, identifies landmarks, and updates both the map and its position in real-time. This capability is crucial for autonomous navigation in various applications, from self-driving cars to robotic vacuum cleaners, enabling them to operate effectively without prior knowledge of their environment.
