SLAM Frameworks

SLAM stands for Simultaneous Localization and Mapping. It’s a technology used by robots and autonomous vehicles to navigate and understand their environment. Essentially, SLAM allows these systems to create a map of an unfamiliar area while keeping track of their own position within that map. They achieve this by using sensors like cameras and lidar to gather data about their surroundings. As they move, they continually update both the map and their location, enabling efficient exploration and navigation in real-time, even in dynamic or changing environments.
