Sir Edward Nicholas

Sir Edward Nicholas (1593–1669) was an English statesman known for his role during the English Civil War and the early Stuart period. He served as the Secretary to King Charles I and later to Charles II. Nicholas was responsible for managing royal correspondence and political affairs. His loyalty to the monarchy during the tumultuous times of civil strife and his efforts to restore the monarchy after Charles I's execution reflected his commitment to royalist ideals.
