Security Council Resolutions
Security Council Resolutions are official decisions made by the United Nations Security Council, which is responsible for maintaining international peace and security. These resolutions can address conflicts, impose sanctions, authorize military action, or set up peacekeeping missions. They require the approval of at least nine of the 15 member states, including all five permanent members (China, France, Russia, the United Kingdom, and the United States) to pass. While resolutions are binding on member states, their implementation often depends on the political will of those involved and the broader international community.
