Seam bowling

Seam bowling is a technique in cricket where the bowler aims to make the ball bounce off the pitch with unpredictable movement. Unlike spin bowlers, who rely on revolutions to turn the ball, seam bowlers focus on the ball's seam—the raised stitching. By positioning the seam at an angle, they can cause the ball to deviate either towards or away from the batsman after it hits the ground. This makes it challenging for the batsman to predict the ball's trajectory, often resulting in missed shots or caught dismissals.
