Swing bowling
Swing bowling is a technique used by cricket bowlers to make the ball move sideways through the air as it travels toward the batter. This movement, called "swing," can be caused by the way the ball is delivered—specifically, how the bowler positions their fingers, wrist, and arm—and how the ball is maintained during the swing. There are two main types: conventional swing, which moves the ball in the direction of the shiny or rough side, and reverse swing, which occurs with older balls, causing the ball to move unexpectedly. Swing bowling aims to deceive the batter and create more chances for wickets.
