Scoliosis
Scoliosis is a condition where the spine curves sideways, forming a "C" or "S" shape, rather than being straight. This can happen during growth spurts in adolescence, though it can affect people of all ages. The cause can be unknown (idiopathic), or due to factors like genetics, neuromuscular conditions, or injuries. Symptoms may include uneven shoulders, hips, or lingering back pain. While mild cases may not require treatment, more severe cases might need bracing or surgery to correct the curve and prevent complications. Regular monitoring is important to ensure the spine's health.
