Scientism
Scientism is the belief that science is the ultimate authority on knowledge and that it can explain all aspects of life, including moral and philosophical questions. In the context of naturalism, which holds that everything arises from natural causes and laws, scientism dismisses non-scientific approaches like philosophy or religion as less valid. Proponents argue that scientific methods provide the most reliable insights into reality, while critics argue that this view overlooks the value of subjective experience and other fields of knowledge that can address questions science may not fully answer.
