Round Table Conferences
The Round Table Conferences were a series of meetings held between 1930 and 1932 in British India, involving Indian leaders and British officials. The purpose was to discuss and negotiate constitutional reforms, greater self-governance, and political representation for Indians. The conferences aimed to find common ground between British authorities and Indian political groups, particularly the Indian National Congress and other parties, to address India's aspirations for independence and develop a new constitutional framework. They played a significant role in shaping the path toward India's eventual independence by fostering dialogue and understanding among different stakeholders.
