Rawlsianism

Rawlsianism, based on philosopher John Rawls, is a theory of justice that emphasizes fairness and equality. It suggests that societal rules should be designed from an impartial perspective, as if you were behind a "veil of ignorance"—not knowing your social status, abilities, or preferences. Under this view, policies should prioritize improving the well-being of the least advantaged members of society, ensuring fairness and reducing inequality. The goal is to create a just society where everyone has an equal opportunity, and social inequalities are arranged to benefit all, especially the most vulnerable.
