Race Across America
Race Across America (RAAM) is an ultra-distance cycling event that challenges participants to bike more than 3,000 miles across the United States. Unlike traditional races, RAAM does not have a fixed start and finish within a specific timeframe; instead, cyclists must complete the course in under 12 days. Riders navigate from the West Coast to the East Coast, facing varying terrains, weather conditions, and the physical demands of long-distance cycling. RAAM emphasizes endurance and self-sufficiency, as competitors often rely on support crews for food, navigation, and rest. It is considered one of the most grueling tests of human stamina.
