Queen Anne's Revenge
Queen Anne's Revenge was the infamous ship of the notorious pirate Blackbeard, whose real name was Edward Teach. Launched in the early 18th century, it was originally a French slave ship that Blackbeard captured in 1716. Renamed after Queen Anne of Britain, the ship became a symbol of piracy, known for its formidable firepower and Blackbeard's fearsome reputation. Operating primarily in the Caribbean and along the American coast, Queen Anne's Revenge was involved in various acts of piracy until it ran aground near Beaufort, North Carolina, in 1718, ultimately sinking and becoming a legendary part of maritime history.
