Quasars

Quasars are extremely luminous energy sources located at the centers of distant galaxies. They are powered by supermassive black holes that actively pull in surrounding gas and dust. As this material spirals into the black hole, immense gravitational energy is released, emitting intense light and radiation across the electromagnetic spectrum. Quasars can outshine entire galaxies despite being relatively small compared to the galaxy's size. Their brightness allows us to observe them from billions of light-years away, providing insight into the early universe and the growth of black holes.
