Potentiometric titration
Potentiometric titration is a laboratory technique used to determine the concentration of a substance in a solution. It involves gradually adding a solution of known concentration to a solution containing an unknown concentration while measuring the voltage (or potential) changes with a special electrode. As the titrant reacts with the analyte, the voltage changes in a way that reflects the chemistry happening between them. By analyzing these voltage changes, scientists can identify the point at which the reaction is complete, allowing them to calculate the concentration of the unknown solution accurately.
