glass electrode
A glass electrode is a specialized sensor used mainly to measure the pH level of liquids, such as water or solutions in laboratories. It consists of a glass bulb sensitive to hydrogen ions, which are responsible for acidity or alkalinity. When the electrode is immersed in a solution, a tiny electrical voltage develops based on the hydrogen ion concentration. This voltage is then translated into a pH value by a connected meter. The glass electrode provides accurate, quick measurements and is widely used in chemistry, biology, and medicine to monitor acidity levels reliably.
