Photoautotrophy
Photoautotrophy is the process by which certain organisms, like plants and some bacteria, convert sunlight into energy. These organisms use sunlight to turn carbon dioxide from the air and water from the soil into glucose, a type of sugar. This process also produces oxygen as a byproduct. Essentially, photoautotrophs create their own food, using light as their energy source, which makes them vital for life on Earth, as they not only sustain themselves but also provide food and oxygen for other living beings.
