Phacoemulsification
Phacoemulsification is a modern surgical technique used to treat cataracts, which are cloudy areas in the eye's lens. During the procedure, a small incision is made in the eye, and a device emits ultrasound waves to break up the cloudy lens into tiny pieces. These fragments are then gently suctioned out. After removing the cataract, a clear artificial lens is implanted to restore vision. This method is minimally invasive, promotes quicker healing, and generally has excellent outcomes, improving clarity of vision and quality of life for patients.
