Cataracts

Cataracts are a common eye condition where the lens of the eye becomes cloudy, leading to blurred or dim vision. This cloudiness can develop gradually and is often related to aging, but can also result from factors like diabetes, certain medications, or prolonged UV exposure. Symptoms may include difficulty seeing at night, glare from lights, or faded colors. Cataracts can be diagnosed through a basic eye exam, and they are typically treated with surgery to remove the cloudy lens and replace it with a clear artificial lens, restoring vision effectively for most patients.
