Persians
The Persians are an ancient group of people originating from the region of Persia, modern-day Iran. Known for creating one of the world’s first empires, the Achaemenid Empire, they were influential from the 6th century BCE until the conquest by Alexander the Great in the 4th century BCE. The Persians contributed significantly to art, architecture, and governance, exemplified by the construction of Persepolis and the establishment of sophisticated administrative systems. Their culture, language (Persian), and traditions continue to play a crucial role in Iran's identity and heritage today.
