Persian Calendar

The Persian calendar, also known as the Iranian calendar, is a solar calendar used predominantly in Iran and Afghanistan. It consists of 12 months and is based on the Earth's revolution around the Sun, making it highly accurate. The year typically begins on the Spring Equinox, symbolizing renewal and rebirth, which is celebrated during the Nowruz festival. Each month has 29 or 30 days, resulting in a year of either 365 or 366 days. This calendar features unique names for its months and days, reflecting Persian culture and history, and is considered one of the most precise calendars in use today.
