Parcham Party
The Parcham Party, also known as the Parcham-i-Socialist or the Flag Party, was a political group in Afghanistan founded in the late 1960s. It emerged from the broader leftist movement that sought social and economic reforms in the country. Parcham advocated for a Marxist ideology, emphasizing national development, social justice, and workers' rights. The party was notable for its rivalry with another leftist faction, the Khalq Party. In the 1970s, Parcham gained political power, but its influence waned after the Soviet invasion of Afghanistan, leading to significant changes in the country's political landscape.
