Palais de l'Industrie

The Palais de l'Industrie was an exhibition hall in Paris, built in the mid-19th century as part of the industrial exhibition movement. Designed by architect Jean-nicolas Hittorf, it served to showcase industrial advancements and innovations. It hosted the first Universal Exposition in 1844 and played a significant role in promoting French industry and culture. Situated by the Seine River, it featured a grand ornate structure, reflecting the architectural style of its time. Although it was demolished in 1889 to make way for the Palais du Champ de Mars, its legacy endures as a symbol of the industrial age and global exhibitions.
