Pádraig Mac Piarais

Pádraig Mac Piarais, also known as Patrick Pearse, was an Irish nationalist leader, teacher, and poet, born in 1879. He played a pivotal role in the 1916 Easter Rising against British rule in Ireland, seeking to establish an independent Irish Republic. Pearse was a key figure in the Irish language revival and education reform, promoting Irish culture. He is remembered for his articulate speeches and writings that inspired many to fight for Ireland's freedom.
