Operation Rah-e-Nijat
Operation Rah-e-Nijat, launched in 2009 by the Pakistan Armed Forces, was a military campaign aimed at combating Taliban militants in the country’s tribal areas, particularly in South Waziristan. Following rising violence and insurgency, this operation sought to restore stability and security by targeting key militant strongholds, disrupting their networks, and protecting local communities. The operation involved ground troops, air support, and intelligence efforts, resulting in significant territorial gains against the militants. Ultimately, it aimed to enhance the safety of civilians and reclaim state authority in regions affected by extremism.
