Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf
Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) is a political party in Pakistan, founded in 1996 by former cricketer Imran Khan. Its name translates to "Pakistan Movement for Justice." PTI aims to promote accountability, reduce corruption, and improve governance in Pakistan. The party gained significant popularity in the 2010s, advocating for socio-economic reforms and better public services. In the 2018 general elections, PTI emerged as the leading party and Khan became Prime Minister. However, the party has faced challenges including economic difficulties and political opposition, impacting its governance and public support.
