China-Pakistan Economic Corridor

The China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) is a vast network of infrastructure projects aimed at enhancing trade and economic cooperation between China and Pakistan. Launched in 2015, it includes roads, railways, and pipelines that connect China’s western region to Pakistan’s Gwadar Port on the Arabian Sea. This corridor is part of China's Belt and Road Initiative, designed to promote economic growth and connectivity across Asia. CPEC is expected to boost Pakistan’s economy by creating jobs and improving energy supply, while also helping China access maritime routes for trade. However, it has also raised concerns about debt and regional stability.
