Ontario Electoral Boundaries Commission

The Ontario Electoral Boundaries Commission is an independent body responsible for reviewing and recommending changes to the electoral districts, or ridings, in Ontario. Every ten years, it assesses population changes and demographics to ensure fair representation in the provincial legislature. The Commission conducts public consultations, seeks input from citizens, and proposes new boundaries to reflect community needs better. Its goal is to ensure that each vote carries equal weight, promoting a fair and balanced electoral process across the province. The final recommendations are submitted to the provincial government for approval and implementation.
