NPVs (Negative Predictive Values)

Negative Predictive Value (NPV) is a measure used in testing to indicate how effectively a test can identify those who do not have a condition or disease. Specifically, NPV represents the percentage of true negative results among all negative test results. For example, if a test has an NPV of 90%, it means that 90% of the people who tested negative actually do not have the condition. A high NPV is desirable, as it gives confidence that when the test result is negative, the likelihood of not having the disease is high.
