Nicaea Council

The Council of Nicaea, held in 325 AD, was a significant gathering of Christian leaders convened by Emperor Constantine. It aimed to address divisions in the Church regarding the nature of Christ and to unify Christian doctrine. The council produced the Nicene Creed, which affirmed the belief in the Trinity—Father, Son, and Holy Spirit—as coequal. It also established fundamental agreements on the date of Easter and addressed various theological disputes, helping to shape the foundation of Christian belief and practice in the following centuries. The Council marked a pivotal moment in the history of Christianity.
