Neuroticism

Neuroticism is a personality trait characterized by emotional instability and sensitivity to stress. Individuals high in neuroticism often experience anxiety, mood swings, and feelings of insecurity. They may react more strongly to negative events and have difficulty coping with challenges. This trait is part of the Five Factor Model of personality, which includes openness, conscientiousness, extraversion, agreeableness, and neuroticism itself. While some level of neuroticism can help in recognizing problems or threats, excessive levels can lead to mental health issues and affect one’s overall well-being and relationships.
