Nembutsu
The Nembutsu is a practice in Pure Land Buddhism involving the repeated invocation of “Namu Amida Butsu,” which means “I entrust myself to Amida Buddha.” It is a spiritual act of expressing faith and reliance on Amida Buddha's compassionate vow to help all beings attain enlightenment and rebirth in the Pure Land—a blissful, transcendent realm. Practitioners use the Nembutsu to cultivate trust, mindfulness, and connection with Amida, viewing it as a simple yet profound way to seek spiritual salvation and inner peace through sincere devotion.
