Nana Rao Peshwa was a prominent 18th-century Indian statesman and the chief minister of the Maratha Empire, a powerful regional power in India. Serving as Peshwa (prime minister) from 1772 to 1781, he effectively led the Maratha confederation, expanding their territory and strengthening their influence across India.
