Nagabhata I

Nagabhata I was a ruler of the Pratihara dynasty in India, reigning around the 8th century. He is significant for establishing and expanding the dynasty's influence in central and northern India, particularly during a time of regional fragmentation. His reign is marked by military victories and the promotion of Hindu culture and architecture. Nagabhata I is often credited with laying the groundwork for the Pratiharas' later prominence in Indian history, which included the defense against invasions and the patronage of temples and the arts.
