Multisystemic Therapy
Multisystemic Therapy (MST) is an intensive, family-based treatment designed to help troubled youths by addressing the various systems that influence their behavior, such as family, school, and community. Instead of focusing only on the individual, MST engages parents, teachers, and peers to create a support network. Therapists collaborate with families to identify problems, improve parenting skills, and develop strategies to reduce criminal behavior, improve school performance, and enhance family relationships. The goal is to empower families to create positive changes in their lives, ultimately leading to healthier outcomes for the youth involved.
