Mori's Uncanny Valley Theory

Mori's Uncanny Valley Theory suggests that as robots or artificial beings become more human-like, people’s emotional responses to them improve—up to a point. When these creations become nearly human but are not quite perfect, they can evoke feelings of unease or discomfort, much like an unsettling resemblance to something that seems almost alive. This "valley" represents the dip in comfort people feel as the appearance of the robot approaches human likeness without fully achieving it, leading to a sense of eeriness that diminishes when the beings become indistinguishable from humans.
