Moral Nihilism

Moral nihilism is the belief that there are no objective moral truths or values; in other words, nothing is inherently right or wrong. In contrast to moral realism, which asserts that some moral claims are true regardless of opinion, and moral anti-realism, which acknowledges moral statements are not objectively true but may hold personal or cultural significance, moral nihilism denies any moral framework altogether. It suggests that moral statements are ultimately baseless, often rooted in individual or societal preferences rather than universal principles. Thus, moral nihilists argue that ethics is a construct without inherent meaning.
